Individual Counseling
My approach with individuals and late adolescents is client-centered, strength-based with a trauma focus to meet you in each of your unique therapeutic needs. My goal in working with you individually will be to help you in identifying goals for counseling and give you a place to begin your healing process. My hope is to both challenge you as well as walk alongside you as you begin to step into the uncomfortable spaces. I hope to be a place of safety and security where you feel you are able to begin to process vulnerabilities and grow in the healing process.

Couples Counseling
My approach when working with couples is strength-based and attachment-based. In identifying the specific strengths and attachment style of each individual, we are then able to use those as building blocks to work through what is currently impacting your relationship and deepening the connection between you and your partner. I am trained in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), a research-based approach that helps couples build strong, loving relationships through attachment-based interventions. I am also trained in using the Prepare/Enrich Assessment, a research-based tool that evaluates couples on multiple scales to help you identify personalized strengths and growth areas in your relationship.
Common presenting issues are (but are not limited to):
- A break in trust due to infidelity
- Parenting struggles
- History of abuse or trauma affecting the relationship
- Couples seeing enrichment in their relationships
- Mental health struggles of one or both parties
- Grief/loss
